Hygiene as Applied to Tropical and Sub-Tropical Climates

چکیده

We have read the book with great interest, and while we cannot sa}7 that it contains anything not familiar to the student of hygiene in India, yet it certainly contains much not met with in ordinary manuals of hygiene, and as such is of special value. It is admirably illustrated. The chapter on conservancy is-particularly good, and to the reader at home full of new matter, the diagrams of forms of latrines well known in India are very useful. All this is practical. The book even contains a chapter on the sanitation of Jails, which is good, even though the figures quoted by no means represent modern views. Altogether it if* a useful book, and for the medical man, who intends to work in the tropics, it is worth a dozen of the ordinary books, on hygiene based on European experiences, which is largely inapplicable in detail in the East.
